Bromyard

Lying half-way between Leominster and Worcester, Bromyard is a traditional market town in the centre of Herefordshire’s beautiful hop-growing country.   It has retained much of its historic charm, with many old and interesting buildings, some dating back to medieval times.  The high street has a range of individual, specialist shops offering a more traditional shopping experience.

Bromyard is host to a variety of festivals and galas throughout the year. The festivals begin with the Marmalade Festival in February,  the Spring festival in May, the Scarecrow Festival June, the Bromyard Gala and Nozstock in July, the Music Festival in August, the Hop and  Folk Festivals  in September,  and the  Apple Festival in October!

St Peter’s Church, Bromyard is a large and impressive building with a central tower, much of which which dates back to Norman times. The unusual corner stair turret which projects above the tower was added in the 14th century There is a fine Norman font in the nave and the church registers go back to 1538.
