Situated on the Dulas river at the southern end of the Golden Valley, Ewyas Harold is a thriving modern village with a primary school, post office and variety of village shops and businesses.
Ewyas Harold Common, an important wildlife area covering more than 50 hectares and comprising a mosaic of ancient habitats, occupies the hill just to the north of the village. The common is a relic of the medieval manorial system and today it is a wildlife oasis, rich in butterflies, flowers and fungi. The common can be accessed easily from the village – stout shoes are recommended and dogs must be kept on a lead!
All films and events for Borderlines May Festival 2012 are now over.
